They are two totally different types of vehicles. The GT is a stadium truck and the T-Maxx is a monster truck. The GT is obviously going to perform better but it is going to be cheaper then the T-Maxx. The GT is more for racing and cant handle as rough terrain as the T-Maxx. But if you want to do back yard bashing and dont care about performance, then the T-Maxx is for you. As for the price, the GT RTR is alot cheaper than the T-Maxx.

Well, I bought a T-maxx as my first nitro vehicle and it is a cool truck but,...
It's heavy and if you like jumps and bumps you should also like fixing your T-maxx because breaking it is not a problem. There are folks here that say a Maxx is hard to break but I have no problem with it
whatsoever.
I bought a FT RC10 GT with a Dynamite .12SPD engine and I can honestly say that I've had more fun with it than any RC vehicle I have owned. The truck is fast, light and simple to work on. I have cartwheeled the thing at WOT and have never broken a thing. I took it to my nephew's BMX track and did some major jumping and the only casualty was a bent CVD,... I bent it back straight and continued on.
I really like GT's and I'm not a big fan of T-Maxx's. They're great trucks but I've had bad luck with mine. I also find ST's to be more fun to drive but that is only my opinion.
good luck with your choice

I totally agree with Big Wig. I own both the T-Maxx and the RC10GT Factory Team truck. If I had to choose one or the other, I'd drop that infernal T-Maxx in a second. Mine breaks all the time as well. It's broken right now as a matter of fact. Tranny gears. It seems to me that every time I run it something breaks on it. I don't think I've ever run a full tank of fuel through it without something breaking. Also, that engine that comes with the T-Maxx is the worst engine I have ever dealt with. And I've used LOTS of nitro engines. The TRX .15 is a real pain in the neck. Replacement parts for a T-Maxx are insanely expensive and when you break it all the time, you can sink a LOT of money into it quick! It's a blast to drive when it works, but I've had nothing but bad luck with mine. My GT on the other hand, I LOVE this thing. Mine came with an OS .12CV and that is one good engine. I put more than two gallons through it before I put a new piston and sleeve in it. It could have taken another half gallon I bet. Other than that, I can't think of much of anything that I've broken on the truck. I stripped a spur gear once when a screw came loose. Other than that, I race 15 minute races with this thing and it never quits. I've cartwheeled it off of huge jumps at full speed and watched it flip end over end 50 feet down the track and it just keeps on going. I just don't see how you could be disappointed with the RC10GT. It's an excellent truck and a blast to drive. Compared to the cost and hassle of a T-Maxx, it's well worth it! Matt

Which engine is more realiable/easy to tune? The AE.15 or the TRX.15?

The AE .15 is way easier to tune and makes the same power even with the restricter it has.

I wish I could comment on the GT, but I can tell you that the T3 is awesome.

Omega, the AE.15 can put out some major power when you take out the restrictor.
