Our new body is designed to fit the new narrow Kyosho SP chassis and the X-Ray XB8 buggy. In the near future more chassis will be covered but for now its just the two. Please dont reply if you dont own one of the chassis mentioned above.
A word of caution, this body produces a significant amount of down force so your suspension set ups will be different. Dial it in and hold on!

The body will not fit the older Kyosho cars due to the width of the splash guards and pipe location,etc. Its pretty snug on the new SP type chassis and XB8, these are much narrower.

This particular version of the body is optimized for the XRAY and Kyosho cars. We know there is a throttle linkage/exhaust/body clearence issue between XRAY and Mugen chassis. They dont fit exactly the same way. Dont feel left out, the body will be sorted out and more cars will be covered. For this reason the offer is extended to the other owners for this release. Im impressed, as negative as I am thats rare.Thats got to be the smoothest and tightest front end 1/8th scale body Ive seen. I like how the case is in the airflow, the rear loosk like a nice onroad lola body.Cant wait for the 7.5 based body

I was wondering how "tall" the sides are? I'm thinking about squeezing a 5.5 GTB into one of my B4's and it would be nice if the fan isnt right against the shell!

Yes, we made a body that produces downforce which means you can feel the car stick to the ground. In general the car feels more positive and stable then the faster it goes the better (more df) it gets. You can see the suspension squat at speed, the ride height gets lower, so you have to tune for this. In the air the chassis seems to want to jump flat without any funny tendencies. Our drivers could hold wide open throttle around a sweeper and down the straight on a dusty hard packed ungroomed track. With another body the cars could hardly do that. They had to baby the car then get on it. We have 4 test drivers who run for Team Northwest RC Hobbies sponsored by Monster Energy Drink and Venom Racing. They tried it and swapped cars, bodies etc. and loved it. We secretly tested for months before releasing this. The principle is similar to 1/8th on-road bodies which make more than 30lbs of DF.

The idea behind the Revo/Savage body is just to get more air on the front end to help the med to high speed steering. The body is wider than the Crowd Pleaser around 10mm or so plus more horizontal surface area. The fuel port on the right side was left out so you can use 1/8 scale tanks or if you like just cut the hole for the stock tank, no problem. We didnt care too much for a large indentation on the side. The back of the body is triangulated by the roll cage shape and made the body very stiff to handle abuse better. I think you will be happy with its performance.

That might not fit so well. The body is tailored to fit a standard ESC and the side pods slope down as they go forward to allow air up and over the upper surface. Maybe mounting it on the rear shock tower could work, I dont know at the moment. I think I read your email and your on the list for a B4 body so you can tell us how it fits!

I second the T4 body! I'm going to be racing on carpet (rubber tires, so not to much grip) this winter in a spec class, so if these bodies really do make a difference it should really show that in the lap times.

I wonder if a body to fit the Jammin X1CR will be avaliable by spring....sure hope so!

Hello again, I race 1:10 stadiums and although it is not an official class here in Sweden I do run at one of the biggest tracks here in Sweden, MHF Skarpnäck, so people sure will notice the body there.

Will the B4 able to turn? It looks like tons of DF in the back... tends to understeer likely.

The wing shown in the photo is full size. You can cut it to tune the DF. There are two sets of cutting guide lines. A pair forward and a pair aft plus a Gurney flap. The wing chord is designed to 75mm and your choice where you want to cut it. The end plates are 50X70mm and again you can cut these to what ever size you want. I would suggest you start with the wing full size and trim it down as you see its effect on the car.
With all of the DF in the rear made by the body you should be able to put down more power than before and maintain higher corner speeds. This body requires you to tune to optimize your car for the track.

I just realized why these buggy bodies looked so familiar - they're very similar in design to the the Tamiya Big Wig body that was designed by Takuya Yura. His intent with the design was to increase downforce - just like the Venom bodies. I couldn't figure out why I kept having little flashes of nostalgia when I looked at these new bodies.

You wont know immediately but when we announce that the first 50 are gone of any body and you know you sent your email in before then its a pretty good bet you got in.
We will be sending out a confirmation email that will tell you when to expect the body to be delivered. At this point its looking like we can get all of them out in December. We just moved to our new larger facility and we have to reset the production line and get it working properly again.

I remember the Big Wig body, thats a flash back! I like the vintage Tamiya designs too, they are so original and ahead of their time back then. When I designed this body I had to work from a clean slate and prove its concept on the track. I drew elements from 1/8 on-road and motocross and combined them to design this body. If you race 1/8 off road you should try it.

We still have a few B4 bodies and MT bodies to give away!

All packages that are too large goes to the post office so that I can pick them up there. That will be the case with the body I think. Because it is only small stuff like letters and magazines that goes directly down in the mail box.

1/8 scale body update

We had to make sure before announcing this but the 1/8 body will fit the MBX5. So the current list of chassis is XRAY, Kyosho SP1/2, Mugen MBX5. We finally got the chance to fit it to an actual chassis instead of guessing. So all of you guys who sent us an email and drive Mugen's will be sent a body as promissed. Thanks again for your patience, we will be sending out replies very soon, we still have some sorting out to do and lots of shipping to plan.

I just joined this forum yesterday and I noticed this thread today. I have been a long time supporter/user/buyer of Venom products in all(12) of my electrics, and now that I am into nitro, I am using what I can of Venom products in my new nitro's. I would love a to try a new Venom MT body. Or if not, I will just wait and buy a new one when they come out. I have never bought a new unpainted body before, and I think it would be cool to make a new Venom body, my first new body.

If it is not possible :( ...How much will they retail for? What is the thickness of the Lexan? Also, anything for Maxx trucks?

I cant check the list right now but I'm pretty sure you got in by now. I dont have an educated guess when you can expect to see yours compared to the dealers but we will be sending them out to our lucky 150 prior to the dealers getting theirs. That means that where a person falls on the shipping schedule will determine how much sooner they will get the body before the next guy/store. Best guess.

Yes there is room for you! Just use the link and send in your info as requested by the offer. Lexan thickness is .040 in. Revo Savage and T/E-Maxx compatible. I'm not sure on the street price yet but about the same as our competition.

Thats not a bad idea but its time intensive and we dont have the man power to dedicate to organizing this list. We have requests from all over as you can imagine and I dont mind taking 5 min. to answer one or two simple questions.

Hey guys, its been busy around here, sorry for not getting back sooner.

We went through our lists and sent out emails to people that for some reason or another didnt get one. We also sent emails to people who gave us incomplete info. We have also made all of our goals for each body type so at this point the lists are all closed. At this point if you have not been contacted by our efforts to reach you then you did not make the list(s).
As far as the shipping date goes, our target of today the 15th is two days off. We will commence shipping on Tuesday.

You have an LST and the first 50 bodies where for people running Revo's/Savages/T(E)Maxx trucks. We filled the list with people running those trucks first, like the offer stated, and then we looked at people who's truck the body may fit. Pretty much all of the bodies where spoken for by the first group. When we do an LST body you should be one of the first on the list for it.

Yeah I finally recieved an email saying you had not recieved my info and it was for a B4 body. I wanted an MT body for my maxx/revo. I have not had a B4 since July so it would really do no good.

No I have been married for almost 6 years now. The wife worked everyone of those hours right beside me. Sleep, whats that?? I do however know that it was all not in vain, considering we rewarded for those hours with $2780 paychecks each. At that point I figure who needs sleep :D

Hey guys, latest update.
The bodies are waiting to be shipped I packed them myself yesterday but we have to switch to USPS to ship. The FedEx system will take days to input all of your individual info and that will cause too many more delays etc. So, due to some people being out of the office for the holidays we have to ship everything on Tuesday which means trucking 150 boxes to the Post Office if they dont come here and get them for us.

I cannot change any of the orders, sorry, and if you didnt get an email from us then you will not be recieving a body. We went back and made sure that any emails that bounced back where followed up and we had one guy give us incomplete info and not reply so he lost out. No name either...
Anyway, I hate to bring delay updates to the table but these things happen. There is a little surprise waiting for you guys in each and every box so I hope that helps.

Just a quick note about that ad in the magazines, its a little bit of an unfortunate shot of the VMX 1/8 body becasue it appears the tire rubs. Believe us it does not, there are no issues with the rear tire touching. That car is sitting on a mound, suspension tweaked, and the tire was not glued to the rim so its sticking out a little bit. Just in case anybody was thinking it, I just wanted to say it ahead of time.

Can't wait for mine. What buggy are you going to put it on ? The only worry I have when I look at the pictures is the small "vents" on both sides of the body. I think they may interfere with the throttle and break linkage rods when at full throttle or when the brakes are fully applied. What do you think ?

i think the sides are up alot higher than normal bodies, to help make more downforce, also i think thats one of the things they were concernee about was linkage clearances and what not, i think you should be good,

Yeah the bottle is cool. I think I'll keep it clean to smuggle hard liquors at the track without getting thrown out. The fact that I'm drinking from a nitro fuel bottle may burn my cover pretty quick however and kids may try to imitate me with their dad's nitro bottles... come to think of it, I'll use it properly... :D
