Since I can't post in the Nitro forum for some reason. Here it goes.

Hello, new on here. Kevin. I use to own a worlds, few years back and I'm looking to get another Ofna buggy. Couple of questions. Mainly, what is the difference between the LX Comp and the MBX Comp?

I notice the two use different suspension or steering in the front. I'm looking for something durable. I'll be ordering 3 of whatever I pick.

I'm also confused as far as upgrade parts. I see parts here for an Ultra LX Pro? Is this for the LX Comp or another vehicle?

So in an organized format. Here are my questions.
1. The difference between the MBX and the LX
2. Upgrade parts available for either?
3. Which suspension design (steering) is stronger.
4. What breaks on these?

I'm also wondering if the nitro engines have improved over the past years. The last time I was into nitro, about 7 years ago, all I did was tune tune and tune. I'd get like 2 runs in before I had to mess with the carb. Is this still the case? It's why I sold all the nitro stuff.

Any help is appreciated.

Kevin

well first off the engines have gotten leaps and bounds better from 7 years ago.lot easier to tune and keep running.i have an lx comp which for the money is not bad..has alot of slop in steering though..the ultra mbx comp has piviot ball suspension in front where as the lx comp is kingpin suspension..the mbx comp has onboard eletric start.the lx is pull rope.the both have the force 26 which is an allright motor to bash with..i would think the mbx comp with piviot ball would have a better setup than the lx comp..i cant say for sure because ive only gotten to run the lx comp..they now have pcr upgrades for the comp series which would help out on your suspension set ups..the stock radio equipment that comes with both is garbage..the stock steering servo doesnt have no where close to the power you need.and ive heard alot of people say that their radios failed after a short use..the lx comp i must say has been pretty durable for me.other than the suspension issues on the lx thats the only complaint beside radio gear that i have..but for the price cant expect to get awesome radio gear..and also when i first got my lx comp i had steering binding issues out of the box that i had to fix before running it.hope this helps you out

Saw someone running the Ultra Comp and he was having alot of fun with the vehicle and it appeared to be durable. Most 1/8ths are usually durable as they really have beefy parts. The main thing I would say is get a better servo and radio gear right away. The Ultras I believe are also wider than normal and have a bigger fuel tank too.
