The body and tires alone are enough for me to buy this! Tamiya is the master of combining scale realism with functionality. There should be a concourse class with requirements like driver figure, realistic paint, etc. And the course would have to be more scale too, lot's of loam and more realistic bumps and jumps (plus we don't want to go all out with our custom rides, ouch!) I think that would be a lot of fun.

That looks awesome! I saw it on tower hobbies, and i think it was under $100 bucks. i have wanted an older tamiya, and this is perfect! i want to get 2! one to upgrade and one to keep completely stock and keep on the shelf while the upgraded one is running hard on the asphalt! I will definately HAVE to get my paws on one of them!!!

Why do some want to put a Mamba in everything?? First, the gearbox in these cars can't handle it and second they handle like poo!

tamiya gearboxes can handle some extreme power. i agree it handles like poo butthe drivetrain is far from weak. will it handle juumbo brushless power ? idont know.

i have an origanil grasshopper and it was my 1st rc back in the 80's.

Hey, I got an idea!!! How about putting a 502 big block chevy in my Yugo, with a supercharger, and nitrous, and throw on a rocket booster for good measure!! :D

I have a Hacker C40-8S in a Hornet. That's a lot of power, no problems for the gearbox. Even runnig on grass.

Ok Birdy. You stick with your stock motors and have a wonderful time going slow.
Some of us have the need for speed.

Ever hear the phrase "tongue in cheek"?
