I just had a sudden urge to go as fast as I can in an electric car, so I bought a Bolink Pro Stock Truck kit. I put in a reciever, Tempest Max, cheap servo/servo saver (don't need a good one), P2K Pro Stock motor, and added a few tooth higher pinion. I recommend this for anyone, its fast- 35+ mph and does a scale 1/4 mile strip in less that 3 seconds. I was wondering though, is there a better kit for under $150 (excluding electronics) with a 6 or 7 cell battery? Thanks for any help, and I will post how fast it goes with a Reedy 13 turn in a few months.

Try getting rid of that ESC and getting yourself a "Bang box" it's a high amp micro-switch that is activated by servo. Pretty simple really, the servo arm closes the switch and BAM!!, instant fun. You can go to http://hobbiesnmore.com for the switch.
