How friendly are local machine shops when it comes to making a one small part like a steel dogbone?

I have the Ofna Pirate 10 EVO 4wd buggy with aluminum drive shafts. The front shaft is bending from the torque. There is not a steel dogbone replacement. The length is 72mm. I am looking at different websites but haven't stumbled across anything yet.

Ahh, there is no steel replacement piece, you didn't mention that. I'm sure you could find one of that size even if it's not specifically made for the MP.
