I've heard you can build a power supply out of an old computer power supply. Has anyone done this here? Or do you know of a website that shows how to do it? I have like 7 power supplies ( most of which are old AT style, but still work ) but, I not 100% sure how to wire it. I've got a basic idea, using one of the harddrive/cdrom plugs. But I can't remember which wires are 12+ and 12- on the colors of the wire. Plus I would like to hear the results from someone else before attempting this. Any ideas, suggestions welcome. You can even PM if you need or want. I want to get my new (used ) Turbo Thrity charger to work properly. And don't have a spare car battery or regular power supply :( . Thanks nomad1

Thanks for the links. I downloaded them. Now all I have to do is build one. I'll let you know how it turns out.

most of the pc power supplies have been good for chargers with a step-up voltage thingy, or for chargers chargeing 6 cells or less. If trying to charge 8 cell battery on a charger with 8 cell max then expect a reduction in rate.

I thought you may have a digital piranha? and it is one of the worst ones for low raTE On dc power and high cell count.
