What are the best filters for the respirators that we are using, or is it a one size fits all type of thing ?
Here is the one I'm using

I'm not sure where you buy yours, but I get mine from Home Depot...or maybe it's Lowe's. Either way, I ask the paint guys what they recommend for spraying paints (lacquers, enamels, acetone based) and go from their recommendations. Most masks I've found require certain brands for replacement filters.

Pick the numbers off the filters and go to Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, etc. and ask the sales people. Also take with you the mask make and model number. Sorry bud, best I can do.

Its all good, there are a few paint supply stores nearby and I'll do some checking and get back. Find out what the numbers are all about.

Actually, it is the most comon on all respirators. I can get teh filters from any airbrush shop as well as home deot and lowe's. I probably replace the filters every 3 weeks to a month. If i do clearcoats, then 2 weeks.

when you have a new pair compared to an old pair of filters, the outside filters will be a darker grey compared to the white new ones. Then...like diapers, change them!

Charlie I use that exact same one. I paid $24.00 and it fits great. I can't stress enough how important it is to use a good mask!!!!!!!!!!!

like diapers? I've never considered that the filters on my respirators equates to wearing a diaper on my head. :D:D:D Too funny but good simile!
And the greatest words of wisdom from our resident respiratory doctor. If you didn't believe before, take it from RepirologyRC!
Resp, you still playing the intern gig or moved on to full fledged doctor with a bit easier schedule?
