In the next few weeks i am going to buy a tamiya lunchbox. I wish to fit the Team Orion Element V2 19T Modified motor to this truck.

Thing is... can the standard tamiya 101bk esc control this motor?

I read (somewhere) that this esc can go down to 19turns. However i read elsewhere that it will manage 23 turns only

I also wish to use a battlepack H-7 SC3300 8.4V battery. Would this nuke a 101BK ESC as it is rated at 7.2v, or could i get away with it?

specs

Control System: High frequency drive
Max Continuous Current (FET Spec): Forward 60A, Reverse 60A
Power Supply: 7.2V (with 6 cells
Output Voltage for Receiver: 7.2V
Output Current for Receiver: 1A

It can handle to 20 turns. The ESC is only rated for 6 cells, so 7 cells will probably fry it. Best to keep it within the rated specs. Of course you could try it, but don't be surprised if the ESC goes "poof" :(

Yeah, this ESC is only good really for the standard silver cans. I use it for models where I want a more "scale" speed.
