With all of mikes recent posts about how to work with evergreen plastic, and everyone's step-by-steps, i figured i'd post one of my own!

Im making a custom intercooler for my mitsubishi eclipse body. So for I've built the intercooler and had a problem with glue melting the plastic. After some advice, i got bondo putty and filled/sanded the sunken spots. Here is what I've got at this point. Updates soon!

there's alot of glue on the market that actually melts the plastic together to form a better bond.. Tamiya, Testor...etc.. Try medium CA glue.. it will bond plastic together well, w/o melting it too much

btw, excellent IC

Nice work thus far! Yeah, it's best to be "frugal" with liquid cement as it's really a solvent. There's always putty (my best friend!). Keep at it. :)

Fester- It's the Testors Model Cement glue that I am using. It works great in small doses. But being my first encounter with evergreen styrene, I thought I would gob it on in some spots to better fortify it. Well when too much is used it starts to eat away at the plastic, causing it to sag in the heavy glue areas. Thats why I used mikes best friend (putt) to fill in the gaps.

Thanks for the compliments. Gonna do a little more putty work and then start painting. I really just need to buy that Iwata Airbrush that I've been putting off.... Donations anyone??? :P Check back soon for updates! Later
