Alright painters, I have never posted in the painting forum before because I have no talent whatsoever! Unless its stick figures or square houses.

I came across this today.....

That has to be the most inventive paint job I have seen in a while. If it is real paint they used for dirt that is. I love how the windshield wipers have a trail on the windshield. Anyone ever tried this before?

As far as I can remember, Solidos always had correctly painted rally cars (dirt and all). Their overall quality has improved over the years with advances in printing and off-shore labour. The same thing accross the board for almost all of the diecast manufacturers and even sports miniatures (well detail painted NFL or NASCAR figures for cheap at any Wal-Mart). Should you want to try it, use Tamiya's acrylic matt colours for the dirt and roadgrime. Looks really cool!

if you were to paint dirt and mud.. do it on the outside.. so doesnt look shiney
