After having one of the best seasons ever we have all gone and made the jump to indoor TC.
I started this thread for all those that used the Monster truck in the past.....

It was only a matter of time before a different thread was started. Now instead of having guys split up on 2 threads we can all post here.

I was going to go to SSH opening day of TC electric this Sunday but due to the fact that weather is supposed to be gorgeous - CP it is !! I know Steve, myself and the usual suspects will be out.

I'd like to get into Electric TC racing, but it's just too expensive right now. Going to be getting into nitro on-road this coming up season, along with my MT racing. Hopefully after I'll be able to dish out for the car, batts and a charger

You are not kidding about being expensive, but after the initial investment of the right equipment you are pretty much set. Still enjoying some outdoor action, CP had another nice crowd even though my MTs didnt last longer than one hour out there and then again Jetskiboy ran for hours and never shut is MT off, NICE going Jetskiboy !

Yeah, but when battery packs die and stuff....it's kinda expensive. And if you get anything other than stock motors, brushes and the like get awfully expensive too. I mean nitro's not cheap at $22 a gallon, but I still feel like it's cheaper to run for a season.
Do any of you guys run here:
http://www.frracers.com/
I'm gonna be getting a nitro TC to run there this summer. Will be my first time running on-road. Anything in particular I should know (I'm quite good with motors, so anything other than that)

I practice there during the week where Frracers hold their "events", Floyd Bennett Field. I know a number of people who raced there this season but were disappointed due to the problems with their computer system I heard it was resolved for the next season. Nice surface. I believe it is the Brooklyn hobby people aka Frracers.
Prospeed up in middletown (a hike but worth it) runs a nice program as well for onroad. Didnt even get up there this season, had too much fun @ CP tooling around with the guys.

Mark, I thought you guys were going to CP on Saturday and on Sunday you were going to barnstormers? Are you going to CP both days now?

This weekend I was thinking the following
Friday night Willis has racing 2 qualifiers and Main
Sunday @ SSH or Willis (The NYC gang is going to SSH) I can go to either or. Willis will be less crowded though this weekend and with some newcomers that might be the place to be. Up for discussion.
Emaxxmike is TC4 owner, he is in the game

I am supposed to get the kit tomorrow. I still have to put the thing together and trim the body (not that running a clear body has ever stopped me before). I also think that I want to get in some practice first before I try racing - just to make sure everything is ok and responsive.

Hey Pat. Good to hear from ya. I guess now you'll be able to kick my but onroad. lol Anyway, I'll start out ay Willis for practice (seeing how it is so much closer to me) and then make it out to SSH. We should have a good crew for racing. I'm really looking forward to it.
I didn't get the factory team tc4, just the stock kit. The kit alone comes with a lot of good stuff. I'll upgrade to better stuff as I need. I was talking to Mark earlier and said how I'll even go out to Floyd and set up the hose for practice (the kit comes with rubber tires). As for batteries, the only thing I have in 6 cell is a whole bunch of nicads (all of my emaxx stuff is 7 and 8 cell). They will hold up for short races, but for ant race of length they will just die on me. If the tracks allowed lipos for racing I'd just go for it now (I talked to the guys at Willis and they don't allow them for racing).
