Hey, i was driving my gt the other day and my steering quit working. I went over and looked at it and the screw that holds the arm on was gone and the arm was off to the side. So it has gone downhill from there. My servo doesn't work anymore. I took it apart and looked at it and it was fine so I'm assuming it was a motor problem. But, when i plugged it back in and tried to drive the steering didn't work at all. I know it's not a battery problem because the throttle servo works really well. It was a hitec hs-605mg which they discontinued making and making things for. Anyway, I was wondering what type of servo i should buy. I'm looking for something with decent power for pretty cheap. Something between 30-40$. Thanks

I would go with the Hitec 525MG....it's very fast for the price.

Ditto on the blue bird. Im have been running one of their metal geared versions for a little over a year, not sure which one, and it is very good for the price.

I would suggest a JRZ590m. not as fast as some of the others but planty fast unless your a top driver. It worked great in my xxxnt and was more durable and gave better feel then the hitecs I have used.

I second the Blue Bird. Unless you're willing to go to $40 in which case I'd get the Hitec 625.

Same servo I've ran in my TC3 for quite some time now... the JR Z590m that is. :D

But since he's running a GT I might suggest the
JR Z650m:
Torque: 142 oz in @ 6V
Speed: .17 sec/60 degrees @ 6V
Lotsa torque for off roadin and only .02 secs slower in a full sweep than the 590m

Down side of that servo though is depending on were you buy it, it can run you up to $50 compared to the 590m's $40 max.

i've personally had a very bad experience with the 590 - wasted a total of 5 in my buggy. I would go with a Hitec 625MG or that blue bird. they are very reliable servos and extremely strong.

Just a quick question - you had the servo plugged in properly right? black wire to the outside of the receiver? I've done that a million times. does the servo not work at all when plugged in and the radio on?
