How do I get my rims off the tires. what eats through the ca glue that won't damage the rims.
so I can use the same rims again

just use a pocket knive and SLOWLEY pry up on the tire and the GENTELY scrape the ca glue off and use some sandpaper to fine clean the rim but dont apply to much pressure. it worked for me.

And do you want to keep the tires?

Soak in acetone. I have done this with no problems. I have been told that some plastices are sensitive to the acetone though, so don't leave them too long.

Boiling water takes them right off.

Baking them will allow the tires to be pulled right off of the rims.

I've done the boiling trick, works, ts a struggle, stinks the house up too - just like baking them would I suspect. Somewhere I've read freezing them will break the CA too, but I don't remember where.

Know the acetone works, that was in one of the mags not that long ago, but I don't like using stuff like that if there's any other way.

Yeah... try baking them. It should heat the glue making it soft.

Baking also works on muffins! :p

I have done the boiling trick and it seems to be the least messy and smelly of the others. Take about 20min of boiling but well worth it.
