I have a XXX-T MF 1, that i have been running for about 4 months now just bashing, and decided it is time to change the ball cups and ball studs. Changing out the ball studs was easy as it should be. My question is on the the Losi ball cups. Is there a certain way to thread the ball cups?, reason I ask is that I have a hard time getting the replacements to thread and then the first part the turnbuckes go in splits a little. I threaded them first with a regular screw used on the truck and see that it is just a little smaller than the turnbuckle. Should i still pre thread them, but with a slightly bigger screw. Or should I just buy some ball cups from RPM?
Please Help

Check the diameter of the turnbucles. It will be either 3mm or close to 1/8" (the size for a #4 or 3mm screw). You can use a 1/8" or 3mm reamer or better yet a 4-40 or 3mm tap... depending on the size. Once you are ready to thread the turnbucles, put light a very light coat of grease, soap, wax, or any lubricant...that will help you get it in....thread it in...and keep the plastic cooler... ;)
Do not worry about reverse threads...you are threading into plastic, all you want to do is make the hole big enough to thread the t/b...That should...work!
BTW, just make sure that you go straight into the ballcup, otherwise the t/b will be off. I'm sure you want it straight...
The same thing goes if you use the RPM ballcups...you still have to prepare them so threading will be easy and straight.
GOOD LUCK
