Ok now I am confused, I had been told by a fellow Maxxer that it is a 40oz/in servo and now you are saying it is a 80oz/in servo.
I am not questioning your answer but would like to know where you got it from. But what ever it is I still think it should be more powerfull.

yeah, I thought the stock T-Maxx servo was 40 in/oz. The first thing I did when I bought my Maxx was replace that wimpy thing with a 133 in/oz Hitec servo. Very good upgrade.

Yea I've seen that the steering servo is 80 oz/in also. I think that the throttle servo is 60 oz/in.... not too sure about that but I know that it's not as strong as the steering servo.

Ok I got the scoop straight from Traxxas support. Here is the answer to our questions in bold pasted from a email from them to me.
Hello,
The Traxxas standard servo (part #2018.....$24.00) has approximately 42oz/in of torque. The servo is 10mm center to center on the mounting holes in the short direction and 50mm in the long direction, which is the same size as a standard Futaba servo. The transit time of the servo is somewhere around .15 seconds per 60 degrees.
The Traxxas high torque servo (part #2055.....$28.00) has approximately 80oz/in of torque. The servo is 10mm center to center on the mounting holes in the short direction and 50mm in the long direction, which is the same size as a standard Futaba servo. The transit time of the servo is somewhere around .16 seconds per 60 degrees.
