I've replaced or redone everything basically in my transmission of my RC10B3; yet there is still this high pitch grinding sound. I've reset the differentials a few times and relubed it also.
What seems to be possible wrongs.

High pitch grind? Is it your motor?

When is the sound audible? Only at high or low speeds, etc.?

Maybe the spur gear scraping the gear cover or the gear mesh is too tight.

Check the mesh between your pinion gear and the spur gear, Ive been racing 2 months and nothing has happened to my tranny, and believe me, I put it thru some pretty tight abuse. Hey, is the high pitched sound when you punch the throttle? It could just be your slipper doing its job, slipping. Hope this helps
