The LHS guy shared this today after I threw a pin in the CVD on my XXX Kinwald.
At the wheel hub, where you have that pin that you're supposed to thread lock, but never locks, well, you're gonna toss that pin no matter what.
The trick?
Take a peice of heatshrink tubing, cut it to about 1cm and place it around the joint there and shrink it down. Easy to remove and you're not gonna lose that pin again.
I'm sure this is a pretty common thing, but I'm new and it heled me. Hope it helps you.

GS Racing makes CVD boots and they fit great. Plus they last a whole lot longer than shrink tubing, and at $3.50 for a set you cant go wrong.

as a Canadian i am truly shocked to see you refer to centimeters
You'll still lose the pin even with heat shrink tubing. The pin eats its way through the HST and away it goes!
The key is regular maintenance.
I've actually started to use the Dremel to cut a flat in the middle of the pin and make sure that the setscrew grabs the pin in the flat. So far so good.

Although I'm american, I'm also a college graduate, science major, so typically I use the metric system. I think a lot of Americans might be more willing to use the metric system if it wasn't associated with Canadians........
JK! :D
I figured this tip was out there somewhere, but it felt good to share it anyway. I figure I can make probably 30 of these CVD boots for the price I paid for the heat shrink tubing(like 2.99). I mean, you're gonna want to take them off frequently to do regular maint. on that area of your car anyway.

Or their website address?
Thanks.
Darn flood control made me wait 60 seconds to post this. LOL

Their web site is www.gsweb.com.tw (http://www.gsweb.com.tw) but it doesn't contain anything about their CVD boots, nor their range of anodised screws, washers and other metal fittings. It does contain some info on their wire and silicone tubing, but that's about it.
Anybody else know the part number of the GS CVD boots ? I've been using the heat shrink method since I lost a pin and although it works it doesn't look the best.....
