How should I charge for the race, I run 3 heats, then the main. I charged all the batts right before the first heat, on two Millenniums. Then I threw them back on the charger right before the race, to let it peak a little. Am I doing it right?

All my batteries were cool before I ran, I was later told that they run a lil better if they are a little warm from a fresh charge. A guy also said he raises his volt threshhold so the batteries are a little more warm after a charge, but he would not tell me what threshold to use, lol. Anyone go over 12per cell on the Millennium?? What should I use?

If I have the batts charged, would it hurt to throw it on the bulb discharger for about 20 seconds, which would warm up the battery, and then peak it real quick? Or would this hurt the battery?

What your doing is fine, charge then peak right before the race. If you want to warm the batteries up, they can do that themselves; but if you really want to, put them on top of your charger while you peak them or charge other batteries, or even with your hands. It probably doesnt matter though. What batteries do you use? If you use NiCd batteries upto 2400mAh, I charge them at 4amps. I never owned NiMh, so I dont really know what to charge them at.

Using 1900 and 2400 packs, nicd. I charge at 5amps and threshold of 12 per cell(72 total). I have heard that warm batteries dump faster than cold ones, which is what I want for a race, a fast dump.LOL
