I have no idea what it is, it's something I bought a long time ago and can't recall what. Everything on the car is Andy's racing products (literally everything) so I can't identify it in an image search. It's an old dirt wedge race car.

See if you know! :)

those are definitely RC10 parts. as for that, most of the parts look like they are from an RC10 actually. i'm going to have to say it looks like an original RC10L from the looks of things its definitely made by Associated.

well, the arms are rc10, but the main area of the chassis is unlike any associated chassis and the chain drive really throws it off. The shocks and towers aren't assoc. either. Just mainly the arms. I have several 10L's here and there isn't a single part that is close to it.

hmm... the front bell crank setup and the suspension arms and everything really make it look like a RC10, the front of the chassis has the same look as the TQ10 did, but the back half of the chassis and the chain drive throw me off too... i guess I'm of any more help on this topic... now you have me curious what it is...

Looks like a custom jobber to me. Lots of RC10 stuff, front bulkhead, MIP steering, Andy's arms and standard battery box. Not sure about the transmission or chassis. Chassis looks like a custom thingy too...kinda ragged.

I thought that in the late 80's or early 90's companies like Custom Works, JG, and Andys (amongst others) made oval-conversions for the RC10?

The Andy's arms are all direct replacement upgrades for the original RC10 arms.
The front suspension mounts, rear hubs and rear driveshafts are all standard RC10.
The steering bellcranks are standard hop-up items for the RC10 made by a number of manufacturers.
The body posts and kydex mounts are all JG stuff, they also made monster truck conversions using the same components.
The shocks look like Delta shocks, which were used by Custom Works on their "Dominator" dirt-oval 4wd. They (along with two or three others) also made chain drive gearboxes for the RC10 to replace the old 6-gear tranny.

Have I confused you more???

I don't remember the brand just the name.......In the mid 80's I raced dirt oval and there were a 2wd and 4wd chain driven vehical called the Dominator they were fast! This looks like a 2wd version! The 2wd and 4wd's were set up like pan cars but with the exception of independent a arms front and rear! I wish I can remember the brand but the cars name is Dominator and they were fast on dirt ovals.

You are talking about the Customworks Dominator (4wd) and the Intimidator (2wd)
I have seen both and that car is not one of them. They both had really narrow and long chassis.

I used to have an Kyosho Ultima (2wd) and an Optima Mid SE (4wd), the car above is not one of those either. The Optima Mid used a Belt Drive not a chain. I remember Yokomo 4wd cars using chains but that doesnt resembele a Yok car either.

This looks like a custom job or maybe a conversion kit of sorts.

Does Customworks still make the two?

i have to agree w/ erock........looks custom conversion of sorts,.......the cvd on only ONE side makes me think that its been pieced together,..battery holds look reminiscent of my old rc10 gold tub,..rear wheel spacers/adapters, aluminum motor mount,...conversion kit,.....????

Na, don't pay attention to the wheels. They were laying in an old box near it and were stuck on to keep the chassis off the floor. The other universal (not cvd) is also in the box. It looks like it was snapped at the first joint.

oops, upon closer look, universal ( i stand corrected)....if nothing else, it has made quite the conversation piece! wish i could help more,.... is it possible that with all the RC10 conversions in the late 80's - early 90's, that it could be derived from one of them???? ( seems like you could build an RC10 into anything back then)
