Thanks to all of you on this forum, I've narrowed it down to two RC trucks: The Traxxas Rustler and the Traxxas Stampede. I just need some opinions of what to do here. What kind of truck should I get? A monster truck? A Stadium Truck?

Mainly I want to take my truck on some grass, and some off road with some dirt and leaves. There is a park near by my house. Maybe even some loose gravel.

What kind of truck would be best for this? Can you participate in races with a Monster Truck? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i like the stampede better. it is more versitile when bashing. i actually use to race a stampede in the novice off-road class years ago and did quite well with it. neither is going to be an all out full competition truck, but from the sounds of where you plan to run, the stampede would be better IMO. :)

i agree, i have owned both, and for all around, IMO, nothing beats the stampede for price, and capability. with VERY few mods, my stampede was very dependable, even to someone who routinely jumped it out of the box of pick ups, over picinic tables, ect. switch to nitro hub carriers, to accept the larger bearings, and for an ultra-cheap upgrade, aluminum caps on the stock shocks, and 6ft. + verticle air results in no cap blow offs ( dont ask me how i know! heheheh).......mine was pretty docile, a speedworks ruby( 16t) and playing with shock valving and oil weights, and i had a very dependable, fairly fast, tough truck, that i could run on almost any terrein, and have fun............hope this helps........( note to other readers, YES, i am very lonng winded :D)
