I have just recently come to the realization that even though I can't afford to buy the best of everything for my LST, XXX-NT, or even B3, I can afford quite a bit for the mini-t. As of now, I have a bone stock mini-t. I have on the way; bearings, and a team orion 1400 mah 6-cell. I figured that would move it along a little better. However, I was thinking that maybe I should just buy a whole buch of great stuff for it so it's completely insane. I'd rather not replace the ESC/Reciever until I break what I have, but I will if I must. Ideally I'd like to get that EvoX kit from integy. Some shocks are high up on the list, these springs kinda suck. However, I don't know what motor to get. If I wanted to just replace everything I'd love to put an RS310 in it and the mamba system, the best of them that is, but that's a lot of money, and like I said, when I blow the stock ESC/receiver, then it'll be easier to justify replacing them. Anyways, to the point of the post. What do you guys think I should do to this thing? What are the best upgrades to get? I know some of you will say Li-Po's right off the bat, so in response to that: How much would it cost for a decent batt or two, and how about charging systems, I'm a little reluctant to go to Li-Po's right now though, I just bought a nice NiCd/NiMH charger, and don't really want to buy another right now. Like I said though, what's the best stuff to get?

Anybody know what is the best brushed motor to put in it that I wouldn't have to replace the ESC for?

Get the Best Raptor V2. Not even comparable to the Orion Baja. They are hand tuned. http://shop.one18th.com/product_info.php?cPath=39_55&products_id=841 .

Here are the specs....

Baja: Power=20.94@9225 RPM=17438@6.3 Torque=401gm/cm Efficiency=39%@12726

Beast V2: Power=39.49 @ 14494 RPM=28175@7.0 Torque=402 gm/cm Efficiency=32%@19950

Ok, so as you see the beast v2 is an insanely fast and powerful motor. Do do pay for it a little bit with effeiciency but that is pretty non-important. How much do baja's go for? The v2 is going for 37$ at that link.

Hmmm, that won't burn out the stock gear? It does look way more powerful I have to say. I just got my battery pack today, and holy crap, I'm impressed how well it runs with just a good battery and a set of bearings, I think shocks are next, then a motor, I can't imagine this will last too long before it gets cooked.

Spur should be fine, but you might want to get a ball diff and some CVD's. I also just found out that that motor is way to much for the stock electronics. But by the way you should definitally get rid of them anyway. That is the best upgrade you can get.

I meant electronics by "gear" lol. I'm trying not to replace them, because when I do I'll probably get the Mamba X setup. I was just looking for something in the interim.

Oh....Well there always is the first Beast. Still better than the Baja.

Thanks for the input. I got to run the new battery today, and am realy impressed with how quick it is for stock. It really shows how bad it needs shocks though. Jeez, that was almost enough to have a nightmare about. Look a little piece of gravel, no biggie I'll run over it, HOLY CRAP my car is spining out of control because of gravel!!! Ohh well, new shocks, on the list.
