I have an electric Rusty im lookin to rebuild. Now I havent driven my truck in a couple years but I really want to re build it. Im lookin to have a moderatly fast truck, but also want it to be able to handle a good beating. Im going to need a new ESC,motor, servo, shocks etc.... I need some ideas on good parts that will not break the bank on this project. Im only lookin to spend 250.00 to 350.00 over the next few months to build this. Is it possible? Now it's your turn ....any ideas ?
Thanks, -Bob-

You might also want to consider getting a new truck. With $250 - $350 you can get a good RTR vehicle with extra money leftover. Check out the XXX-T RTR2 or the T4 RTR.
If you want to keep the Rustler, I would start out by getting a good servo. It makes all the difference. Airtronics makes very nice ones, but they are very expensive. Hitec has some good midrange servos. Check out Novak or LRP for a new ESC; I would get one with no motor limit. Novak makes the GT7 and GTX, while LRP offers the QC2 (and upcoming QC3). As for motors, the Orion Revolution/Peak Vantage (same thing) motors are really good when it comes to maintenance. I would go for a 14x2 - decent power, excellent wear. Good luck!

If your gonna upgrade the shocks then I would look at the traxxas big bores.
