Hello to all...

I currently live in Ontario Canada, unfortunately there are very few RC Tracks in Ontario, and when one is built, some one complains to the city, and they shut it down....

I am currently in contact with the Mayor of my city. Ontario at least the city I am in does not have any city built tracks, BUT the mayor is actually considering, helping us out. The best part is, if this goes through, the other cities will soon follow, and Ontario will soon; well hopefully have more RC tracks.

If anyone has any pictures of track layouts, and maybe some good track sizes, right now we are just trying to get the Mayor to give us a place to bash, but if he is wiling to set s up with something bigger, we might think of having bigger event races.

Thanks for your help, and any other ideas you might have are appreciated

You can email pictures to rcnut@rogers.com

Thanks again for your help and support

Check and see if there is a local fairground that has building you can rent in the winter to build a track. They may also have land that you can lease in the summer for an out door track. Outdoor dirt is a lot of work. Weed controll and erosion are your two biggest problems.
Insurance liability is another issue they will consider. Shop for insurance policies.
nice size track is 100-120 ft X 60 Ft with 8 -10 ft wide lanes.
Be creative with the layout but don't make is so difficult that inexperienced drivers are fighting to just get around the track.
Hope this helps get you started!

if you want 8th scales and monster trucks to be happy, you need a minimum of 10ft lanes. most tracks around here have 12-15ft lane widths. the 15ft lane track can support 15 8th scale buggies per heat! now that's fun to watch and race!!!! you can see a lot of the tracks here: http://www.carolinasrc.com/pictures/default.htm The Farm 2 is the one with 15ft lane widths. it's one of the best in the country right now.

Where in ontario do you live?

If you're in the GTA, I know of some tracks and stuff you could possibly check out
