Kind of new to the swapping cars scene. I am looking to doa trade in the near future and was wondering what is the best way to ship them to make sure nothing gets damaged? And also, who should I use to ship it?? UPS?? FED-EX?? DHL?? My girlfriends mom works for UPS so I am going to see what I can get it shipped through her for. Just looking for some advice.

Thanks,
Dan

All the parts I bought online were packaged in a thick cardboard box; with every little space filled with either bubble wrap or blown-up plastic bag-like things. Basically, you want your items not to move around inside the box. That's how stuff gets damaged.

As for companies, I don't think it would matter that much, as long as you can track the item and put shipping insurance on it.

Well, hope this helps

I have all of the extra parts in a smaller box pached in with tires and such so that nothing moves around. I was thinking about taping that shut and then putting that in the bottom of a bigger box (On top of some scrunched up newspaper) put the truck on top of that... and then pack the box with tons of crumpled newspaper so that when it's taped shut nothing moves. I know its not as light as those bags of air but at least I know they won't pop. Do you guys thing that would be fine?? I refuse to use packing peanuts. Some guy shipped me a car like that one time... I had to air compressor packing peanuts all oever the garage...

i used to just double up on the boxes, pack the cars in with popcorn or whatever.

Something i used to do when i raced in cali for the babcock races and such, is i would line a box with PVC and run bungie cords through all the suspension arms, so it would hold the car

when i usaually mail rc cars or parts i, stuff the box with newspapaers n empty celan shopping bags, they make creat packing material!so far so good mailing stuff like this way!

if your g/f's mom works for ups ,maybe u can get a discount but i found the post office to be cheaper overall!

I shipped in the big *** box the the amplifier for my car cam in. It had a bunch of crumpled up paper so I just re-used that. If you dropped it... nothing moved. It worked out well and I guess everything got there in great shape. It cost me $13 to ship. It's not bad considering the size of the box. It ended up being about 15 lbs... box, padding, car, and extras.

I use newspaper to fill and buffer car/parts. I ship USPS Priority mail, with delivery comfirmation. Never had a problem.
