i have a body that i painted with parma and pactra paints. the pactra is holding up perfectly, but the parma is peeling where it got fuel splashed on it. the whole underside of the body is covered with the parma white undercoat. that is what's peeling off. would covering the underside with a pactra undercoat be enough protection? i'm just worried that if the paint gets scratched and fuel gets in there, that the paint will start to peel. wondering now if i should just suck it up and buy all new pactra paints. i've got about 10 new bottles of parma though. that's what sucks! :(

I'd spray another coat of the white that peels off, then get some clearcoat and put many coats of clear on it, should solve your problem.

You can also rub a coat of shoe-goo on the inside of the body. Its a little messy, but I will seal the paint extremely well.

i thought parma was fuel proof cause of this description on Tower's site:
"FEATURES: Fuel-Proof, Water Based Formula For Easy Clean-Ups."

then I got this email back from Parma when I asked about why my paint was peeling:

"Hello,

Faskolor paint is fuel residue proof. Faskolor cannot take raw Nitro with out the paint cracking. We do have some answers to help you out. You can use our Faskoat as sealer after you paint the whole body in Faskolor.

Hope this helps"
