i promise, (until I get my car) What kind of maintenance is needed on these electric cars??? I have heard of bushings, oil shocks, all kinds of stuff. Thanks again. :D

I would change out the bushings and put in bearings. As for the shocks you will need to rebuild them. That means changing the oil in them and replacing the o rings. The motor will need brush changes and comm cuttings to stay in top form. You will also need to rebuild the diff every once in a while. Every 6 months or so i completely tear down my car and replace all the worn parts.

also after each use,if u have take a aircompressor n blow air over the whole car to remove any dirt!i do this or u can use compressed air in a can,the stuff u use to clean your computer keyboard with,3m makes a good one but its a lil pricey,i would go with the compressor if u have 1!

oh then once in a blue moon , i would give the car a really good cleaning , like brushing the shocks off with a brush, wiping the body down with windex.etc.i would try to make this part of your regualer maintance.

At the track, after every run (roughly) I would clean the car off with the compressor. Every few months, I take the car apart completely and use some sort of dishwasher soap to clean all the plastic parts and I also oil all the metal-on-metal parts.

I like to keep my car clean and free of grit so it runs smoothly and so it looks good.
