Rather than buy the ordinary wall wart type charger, get a float type charger. Wehn you get through using the batt, put the float charger on and leave it. It will charge the batt an then go into a maintain mode where it will keep the batt at peak conditions. It will always be ready to use, plug it in and forget about it until you need it the next time. This one will prob be less than the wall type charger anyway -

I use this one - its more money, but its charge rate is higher and I wanted another one by these guys since its the one I use for my motorcycle batt. The one I use for my gel cell is the Jr model (5th one down) -
