I was just curious what other tracks do when the races get rained out. I'm not really all that upset about this, but tonight, I went to race here in Oklahoma City and I brought my RC-10 buggy, T-MAxx, and RC-10GT. It cost me 26 bucks to race three cars for the night. Anyways, here in Oklahoma City, it hasn't rained since early June sometime, but it had to pick tonight to start back up. After the first heat, it started lightning and pouring rain. So, I got to do one heat and the owner said that it was their policy that if you finish the first heat and it gets cancelled due to weather, that you don't get a refund. They are really nice and I've never had a problem with them so I didn't get too peeved about it, but I am kind of upset that I am out 26 dollars for only a few minutes of racing. No discount for next weekend or anything. Just seems like that's kind of a sorry policy to me. I'm not that upset about it, but I was just curious what other tracks do if it starts raining. Thanks for any info! Matt
I'm actually pretty lucky. For $12, we race. If it were to start raining before the mains, not all qualifyers done, we go inside (even nitro). They may have changed it, but if you do get all of your qualifyers in, the prizes are in order you qualified in. I'm not sure if they changed it though.
Wow, I used 'change' in there a lot, lol. Truth is, I haven't been there for awhile; need money for new car.

You seem to be a polite and reasonable person. I suggest you let them know how you feel.
You might be suprised how they react. We as consumers almost have a DUTY to give feedback. This serves to better the experience for other consumers.
Seriously, go have a nice chit chat with them about it. Suggest possible resolutions (such as reduced entry fees on the next race, etc). If they don't budge at all, then you have a full-on right to be bitter about it. I would be ... and FOR SURE they would be hearing from me about it.
Whatever you decide, good luck and thanks for posting !

Yeah, most track owners will usually be open to reasonable suggestions from us(except for one NE Oklahoma guy that I won't mention publicly) but generally, all the track owners I know of have that same policy on rainouts, it's just one of those thing we have to deal with from time to time(& it happened at Adams Creek tonight too).....

ah hahaha i race for 5 bucks indoor. lol. ya some races can be really expensive when it comes to race fee's. at the outdoor track here i get to practice for free. so i guess i'm pretty lucky when it comes to race and practice fee's. we've never really had a problem with races so i've never really dealt with having to get a refund or race cancellations.
