Radio choices (XR3 or 3PJS?)

It's about time I got a new radio, and I can't decide what to get.

I am considering a Futaba 3PJS (the top end one with 6 buttons to the right of the wheel) and a JR XR3. Only reason I've narrowed it to these two is that I can get each of those for a VERY reasonable price. An M8 is out of the question, I can't get a good price on one.

I'm interested to see which one of those two everyone prefers. My LHS says Futaba's are the slowest at getting inputs through the transmitter to the servos; I don't know if this is the transmitter, the receiver, or just BS from my LHS. I've always owned Futabas and never had bad luck with them. I've used a friends XR3 and liked that also.
I don't need tons of extra frills like exponential (I hate it) or ABS (I have a smooth finger). All I'm looking for is a good digital radio with end point adjustments, trims, and a multi-model memory. If I were buying a new radio the 3PJS would be out of the question (too expensive) but it's now an option because I can get one that has barely been used extremely cheap.

Thoughts?

have you priced the KO Mars?? a great radio that is not super expensive....

Buy the 3PJS....hassle free...and MORE functions than the XR3...I like mine.

I chose between the M8, Lynx 3D, Lynx FM, XR3, KO Propo (DON'T leave home without the manual - ICK!!)....and others.

Well, an M8 is back in the running (I can get one with receiver brand new for about $185-190). What's everyone's thoughts on the M8?

I hadn't ruled out the Mars, I forgot all about it, that's all.

Boss, why did you pick the 3PJFS over the M8? Just wondering...

Ok, choiches have changed. It's now down to a Futaba 3PJS (PCM) or an Airtronics M8.

Which would you buy and why? I'm not biased towards either of them and want some convincing arguments... ASAP please =)

Oh well, just bought an M8. Hope I like it!
