do i need a new receiver or what?

ok this is my problem. i turn on my radio, then turn on my car (xxx-nt.. but irrelevant) before i do anything else, my servos are glitching (what i call slightly moving back and forth for short periods, then stopping, then repeating and so on). let's assume that i have fresh batteries in my radio and battery pack. i have a airtronics 3ps radio, 2 airtronics 94158 servos (old model but i barely used em) and a novac mercury receiver. should this glitching be normal? the antenna isn't touching the chasis and my receiver is not touching the chasis either. thanks for your interest. take the back off your servos and see if theres any moister in them...>do the same to the reciver..if there is leave the back off them to dry them out...>
i have had it happen to me 2 or 3 times before..

im gonna try different crystals as soon they get here. i figure that's the cheapest thing i can do to start off with.
