Whole motor or just endbell, are the electrical connections getting hot as well ?
Gearing
Bearing
Dirt/Grit
I'm not familiar with that motor, what are you running it in ?

I'm not familiar with that motor, what are you running it in ?Thay are in an E-Maxx and are clean. My gearing is a little tall But even when I hold the truck off the ground and "run" it thay still get hot.Connectors get warm but thats normal. The bearings seemed it spin freely.Would heavy brush springs and hard brushs cause my heat built up?

I'm no pro,
but when playing around with various motors and varying spring tension by hand, there was a noticable bind on the motor. Not sure if this applys in your case though.
Is it a new motor ?, the pilot shaft could be bent ever so slightly.
May be better off waiting around for a more qualified individual to help out.

I'm thinking that this is the first place to start looking for your heat problem, try gearing them down and see what that gets you. I'd drop a couple teeth on the pinion and see what you get for temps

also, the trinity and reedy motors are pretty notorious for erheating and killling the comms(in the e-maxx atleast)

When the do cook I got good armatures(?) to put in them.
