is it possible to paint a body but have it still be clear? so basically a transparent paint job where even with the body on you can still see the electronics and such but the body still has color and detail? i want to do the plastic bag marble trick on my car but i want it to stay clear. it just has the clear body on it now unpainted and looks cool as it is, but i want some color..

you mean like translucent? if so you could just use candy paint for color and not back it.

I just saw someone post a body they painted transparent black. I'm not sure if it was on this board or another, but it was see through with a black tint to it.
Anyhow, the answer would be yes. There are plenty of paints available to do just that.

I did my body like the way you describe it. Mine is transparent candy apple red. Walmart had a bunch of other colors that were transparent with a color. Check that out, im pretty sure theyll have what you want.

Thanks, that's the one I was referring to also. It's pretty cool, opens up a lot of possibilities.
