racers edge has a .32. looks like the same engine block as the HPI K4.6.

Here's Collari's "Home Page". They're distributed by werks racing

The .30 has been out for some time now, but the .32 is new

i would go with the racers edge .32. it's an 8 port and claims a whopping 3.6hp@38k, the collari is a 3 port. the sleeves on these engines must be paper thin. does anyone know how long these things last before you loose compression.

If only they were all like the novarossi based .28s built with a slightly larger block than .21s, Its still got a good amount of matirial on the sleeve. The price of these engines reflects this tho.

I would wait for the O.S. Max-30VG. That motor is suppose to make over 3.8 hp.

That Collari does not have a thin sleeve.
The material would have more to do with stay tight.
(remeber that diablo wasp 28 sleeve wasn't super thin, just way to SOFT)

You know I WAS on that HP band wagon, I wanted more more more,
and every month there was a new engine that had 1/2hp more that last month.

They made a little more power, but the models can't take the power without breakage.

And the fuel consumption on the BIG blocks is so bad you don't hardly get to play with it before it's time for another tank....

I have scaled back, and have more control, less breakage, and a lower fuel bill,,,,,

i hear ya BR. you can certainly tell what engines use hard sleaves as soon as you touch em with a dremell. i was racing when there was only .21 engines, then the xtm 247 came out. then the flood gates opend and now even OS is getting on the HP wagon. although i'm not seeing power increasing perportionatly with the displacement. the cranks and rods are pretty much .21 specs. there's only so much you can do with a .21 size block. i personally like .21 engines better. last longer, better mileage, rev higher and plenty of power if you get a good mill.

If the new .32 is anything like the .30 then hang onto your controller! The Collari .30 is a monster. My LST makes my Revo look like it is sitting still.

I think I am going to stay with HPI 4.6 and call it good. If I want fast Ill play with my buggy. My moster truck is fast enough and plenty fun for backyard bashing with the .28 motor!

Collari does have .32 3 port motor. I see no point going bigger than .28 as this is already a over built, overstressed .21! They need a fresh new block, crank, and piston/conrod/sleeve design and better fuel efficiency and most importantly MORE HP for your BUCK!

yes..I agree...I think they should be no larger than a .28...and why go bigger when you can build a .28 to have alot of performance...
