I just got myself a Factory Team TC3. I talked with some people at my local track and got all the setups before I started to build, and today - only after two days of practice - I'd race that thing against anyone! I really enjoyed the simple construction. Like all AE kits, the directions were easy to follow and the kit went together flawlessly. What has to be my favorite part is the shaft driven 4WD system. There are no adjustments to make, it just fits into place and away it goes. I'd recomend the TC3 to anyone who'd like to get into TC racing/bashing.

It also holds stick packs quite nicely (that's what I use sometimes).

Hope this helps!

Hey, I want to start racing. Yeah I know, I might get seriously (is there anyway to bold and underline seriously and make it a font size of 72?) with my 4-tec but I can try right? I was wondering, I have been told that in TC's, it is the most competitive racing style because everyone has really decked out cars and so its hard to compete on a budget. Is this true, or can someone with a good quality motor (stock) and a good overall setup win with superior driving. How does it differ from class to class, novice to expert. Thanks.

race stock (no need for REAL expensive batteries)... and get a decent set-up and then its all SKILL.. practice and you will WIN.. at the local level you can compete on a budget.. sure you may need to practice a little harder to keep up with them rich boys.. but you can still compete.. and most off all.. just have FUN.. because thats really what this is all about.. right?

True, & at many tracks, they set up Sportsman classes(or Novice class) just for those who aren't quite ready to drive a perfect race or spend a huge amount of money right away. It's a good way to have fun & lean how to drive smooth & set up the car..... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Please correct me if im wrong but i haven't seen a question like the one i have asked tc3guy. Im trying to get the whole TC out look cuz im interested and might get into it since i race off-road i need something to do during the winter.

I might end up adding a FT TC3 to my collection( FT B3 & XXX-T ). The reason i have been looking into the FT TC3 is becuase i know sooner or later i will want all the hop-ups and stuff and don't want to end up spending all the money when i should have been smart and got the FT. I know racing TC's are alot different from off-road racing but im ready for a change (and something to race during the winter).

Sorry about that I was thinking about the people on the electric forum they have that same question like every few days. but I'll answer your question anyway. I think that the FT-TC3 is great for racing but you could buy the racer kit and upgrade only the neccessary parts like threaded shocks. I think you'll end up spending less money doing that than paying $300+ for the FT-TC3. I did that because the team kit has stuff like aluminum CVD's that you don't need for racing and i didn't buy the FT version because it wasn't out yet. But its your decision. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Its cool tc3guy. Hey Isky lay off man i read everything about the last HPI kit! I didn't know you had to boil parts, i think thats BS! LOL And with the old MRC well it was just really old!
