I was just wondering what you guys think of fireball motors and what experiences (if any) you had with them. For me, its a great motor, and as a budget minded basher I dont expect much. Although I hear many bad things about the Fireballs, ranging from comms that last 2 runs to the motor actually becoming a "fireball".

I bought one a good while ago, but am unsure if it was a good choice, as back then I wasn't that knowledgeable about motors.

Thanks,
-Dave

I have heard they are junk. I have a peak jaguar and it is basically the same motor with a different sticker on it. Mine is junk. It has no power. I dont like it. But remember, you get what you pay for.

Yeah. Well put. At that time, I didnt want to blow tons of money on a good motor, so here I am....

Just run it till it dies and get a speed gem for a little more then the fireball. I haven't heard good things about the cheap motors.

The fireball I bought last year was junk too. The comm is not smooth and the brushes wore out after only a few packs. The only good thing I can say about it it is it makes a pretty cool sound when running. I can't explain it. I paid about $13 shipped for a new one and did not get my moneys worth.

The Fireball does seem too cheap for a racing motor. I bought a Speedgem and it's brilliant. It gives way more for its money. The only problem is that it has so much power that it SHATTERED one of the metal dogbones on the car. Worth every penny though.
