Simple Green and water. It is also great for cleaning the dirt off your tires between heats, and it works as a natural traction compound by making the rubber softer. Good stuff.

I use this stuff that i found at walmart.. It works like a charm! Its this purple stuff made by castrol... I forgot the name though! Its like 99 cents and in cool small bottles... Spray on, hose off... Its just hard to keep the water away from things that cant get wet... Walmart also sells degreaser for 79 cents a can.. It works really good too. Its actually better than the purple stuff because you dont have to use water and it dries really quick.

You can get simple green at hardware or automotive stores, I've also seen it at Meijers, Wal-Mart and Target. It comes in a green bottle (imagine that!). http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ya. I found this stuff at wal-mart called castrol super clean. It was $7 for 1 gallon. It was right next to Simple Green. But S.G. was more exspensive for less. How many parts water do you use? Thanks

Beware of Super Clean! Used this once to clean the engine in my real car-- it ended up etching all my nice polished aluminum! I had to repolish my valve covers, air cleaner, and accessory brackets, and I had to re-glass bead my intake manifold and cylinder heads to get that nice texture and finish back on them. It looked HORRIBLE. Degreased the block great though... Stick with Simple Green, it does a great job and hasn't discolored anything that I've tried it on to date.

I know what your saying. Today I was cleaning my engine head. It discolered the polished part. I had even watered it down a bit! I watered it down a bunch and it seems to work fine know. You say S.G. works better though?
