Crowd Pleazer Jato

im gettin the crowd pleazer for the Jato and im tryin to figure out a simple 2 color paint job. im thinkin of usin black and transparent blue. maybe stripes like an old camaro? any ideas? heres the body-

i dont want anyone to paint it for me, i want to do that, im just tryin to figure out a good 2 tone paint job. something simple. these are the rims im getting just to help.

Incorporate the arrow shape (of the rims) in your paint job. Bring in two stripes from the back curving from center outward. Around the first third of the side windows, curve them back inwards and have them almost meet with the arrow head near the front centerline of the hood.

im thinkin real thin too, maybe an inch or less in width. just to give it that sharp look. what if i did 2 stripes starting out like an old camaro, then curving out, then back in. basically your idea, just flipped 180. any pics of somethin like that?

Goofy, I disagree...that body style is screaming for celtic/tribal art more than flames. My biggest concern though is using balck and transparent blue. The blue might get too washed out to show up well. However, it'd be a different story in the sun when the graphics show up almost ghostlike.

so what colors would look best? i like the black on that one, but im not sure how it would look with the pointy stripes.

I accually agree with piglet on this one, even tho I like flames, I think that trible meets this body style. I world go with either black/gray or black/darkblue

Stick with the black for the main body color. Use a blue-gray color for the graphics colors and use silver for the pinstriping.

Josh, your best bet is to get a template of the body and sit down with some markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc. and see how it looks on paper. If you do a search on this board, you'll find links where you can get a template of the body.

These are the actual rims im getting since the others didnt fit. ill check the boards for templates, but i cant find any since this is a new body.

Josh, what kind of masking are you going to use? XXX-Main makes some tribal stuff you could look into using. Also, how are you painting this? Rattle can or airbrush?

blue painters tape and testors spray, but my buddy has an airbrush and i can pick up some xxx-main masking...ill check at work today and see what we have.
