Just wondering.....BTW, I was told it has a 2 speed conversion and is an 1/8th scale electric buggy. How fast do you think this can go? Also if sold, how much would you pay for it?

Thats a home made car, he made it with parts from other cars. The transmission (where the motor is) is from a E-Maxx. Whoever sold you that is an a-hole, he ripped you off.

looks like a kyosho MP6. and a waist of one too. put the single speed back, put a V-spec in it and you got a nice buggy.

Yeah it is a kyosho gas buggy with emaxx motor mounts and butchered battery holders. It has a hacker motor and esc I think. I am not sure, but it is brushless. Also, to the other guys, I don't think he bought it yet.

other crap? are you serious? you can't be talkin about the MP6. M3E, i'll give you $50 for the crap, that happens to be one of the best buggies EVER built.

what's a brushless motor and how does it compare to a regular electric motor?

brushless motors basically take away the maintinence that electric motors require. They are also easier to use and dont require brushes every few runs

For $50 it is worth it.

One thing I noticed is that the owner of the car used a variety of screws throughout the buggy. This is usually tells you that the person didnt take good care of it. Look at the servo holder, all three screws are different lmao.

I meant all the stuff that wasn't part of the original buggy.

It gets better, that's an MP-6 International, or was at least. Tell-tale signs are the adjustable camber rods, full universals, ball bearing servo saver, high quality shocks, front chassis brace. It's a keeper!

sorry for the missunderstanding. the mp6 IMO is still one of the best buggies. although it's outdated, it handles better than 90% of the new buggies out today. i would choose the MP6 over the 7.5 or 777 if it wasn't disscontinued.

nice find M3E!

Brushed motors have armature with 3 coils of wire per pole. The magnets are on the can. A brushless motor is the exact opposite. The "armature" is actually a neodymium magnet (usually), and the wire coils are located on the can itself inside. They produce a TON of torque, and some can rev very high and RPM limits are up there. That's the basic gist of it.
