Hey, I have 2 old EX-5 radio systems, bought around 1990 or so. I know both the receivers for the system are shot (I had the KR-288 and KR285A receiver). I would like to know if anyone out there fixes receivers, or if any companies have something that would take the place of my blown receivers. Thanks

I have used a Novak Polaris with my EX-3 for four or five years now. It is a universal model and I havn't seen any others for quite some time, but Hitec stilll makes a Shreader for KO radios.

Is it ok to mix and match transmitters and receivers from different companies? In one of my cars I have a futaba receiver and servos, So I took the crystal out of the futaba transmiter and stuck it in my ex-5 radio, and everything seemed to work ok. Is this alright to do, or will I have problems at some point?
