hello heres the body i done with xxx main picture glue.i did a resident evil theme (fan of both movies, lol)anyway it is my first time using the picture glue. the black paint is krylon fusion spray paint which works awesome on lexan n they have a asst of weird colors. anyway i like the way it turned out but i learned to sandpaper/scuff up better where the picture would go when u glue it! i scuffed it up a little too much! u can tell this if u look at the hood up close but over all i like it! i would do another body with pic glue in a heartbeat!

body:pro line chevy surburban
paint:krylon fusion spray paint (black)
decals:came with kit
pictures: "homemade" n stuck with xxx main picture glue!

looks nice, but you should have trimmed all the white off the pictures before you uploaded them, it makes the post alot longer than it needs to be.. lol

on the other hand the truck looks nice, what kind of plans do you have to finish it? and what paper/glue did you use?

the pictures are 703x959 pixels, and about 500 of the lower pixels are nothing but waisted blank space. thats what i meant though :)

tyrael----here is the kicker , i dont own anything that this body would fit.

i do it as a hobby for fun,to keep me busy soemtimes.the only body i winded up using was for my blitzer beetle.i was always into art n stuff n this gives me a chance to do something.

doesn't look too bad. i wonder if an airbrush would apply the glue in a more even pattern.

harley, i used a foam brush.i dont think it was the amount of glue i used ,could have used a little less but i think when i sanded it a lil 2 much! i think airbrushn might sog the paper maybe????plus its thick like elmers glue so to airbrush it,u would have to water it down maybe?????

Not a bad job there. The tailgate in particular works well. The pictures on the hood and particularly the roof would have been helped greatly though if you had either in your photo editor or with paint after printing/before gluing added a black fade along the edges - it would have blended the image with the background and looked a whole lot better. Something to consider for your next piece.

.....

I had added a whole paragraph on proper picture posting, but while intended as general advice to everyone it still came across as coming down hard specifically on FESTER2004, which wasn't the intention. I've cut it down to just this;

We put a lot of work into our paint jobs -- it doesn't take much more effort to display all that work to its best advantage than it does to display it badly. We all owe it to ourselves and each other to show our work off as best we can. Just something to consider when we're posting our next piece.

That looks pretty slick Fester, how well do the pictures form to the different contures of the body, any trouble spots ?

Again, nice job.

2nd, it formed ok i guess, make sure u slide it where u want it n press very very very lighty to adhere the photo!be super gentle,i cant stress this enough!the photo on the hood worked well into the contour of the hood(hood line) i should have taken a photo of the underbelly before i sprayed it! over i am pleased with the results.

thanks!
