is there a chart (or something) that compares stock electric motors to gas/nitro engines (on the order of; a 380 is roughly comperable to a xx engine)?
likewise is there a guide for picking which prop to start with( say a mono with a 380 or 550 motor)? I've found a page that said(roughly) test the boat/prop then check motor temp( also mentioned start small, ok how small)

there really isn't such a chart in existence...sorry. but if you're looking for prop/motor combo's to try out, just tell us what you got. someone here can point you in the right direction.

weeell at the moment (for a scratch build, under construction), I have a '380 size' motor(replacement type for the reef racer(the 1st one) to be coupled with a Dumas model #3002 1.25" (1/8" bore .09), is this a good combo?
A word about the motor, I wouldn't reccomend getting this one as a 'stand alone' as it has an odd size shaft(3/32"). get the version for the reef runner 2.
