I just bought a Trinity Cobalt 19T Spec Motor and I'm still tweaking the motor to run at it's best. I was wondering what is the best brush to run on the motor:

Trinity XXX Cobalt Lemans Silver Brush Stand Up Style

Trinity XXX Cobalt Lemans High Silver Brush

Trinity Dual Shunt No Terminal P-94

All opinions welcome.

Thanks

Your motor setup is going to vary with vehicle and type of use. Most of the racing sanctioning bodies (ROAR, NORRCA, ARCOR) outlawed the use of laydown and P94 style brushes in the 19turn mod classes.
For competitive racing and standup brushes.
Timing 24-36 degrees, Brushes- Putnam X, 2nd Trinity 4383, Reedy728, Springs-Trinity Purples or Purple/Red when less timing.
If motor is being used for bashing and you want to reduce wear, the set the timing (using a motor timing qauge) to 18-24 degrees, use the Trnity 4490 or Reedy 729 brush with 2Trinity Red springs.
Some guys in the competitive racing cirlcle have mixed feelings on the Trinity xxx and Reedy Plutinium brushes. Some see no additional wear, little increase in consistant performance vs cheaper brushes and some feel the cost is a little prohibitive.
