#48 Lowes Monster Truck

I'm a big Jimmie Johnson fan, so I thought I'd take a stab at painting a body like his car. i couldn't find a car body i liked that would fit my savage, so i made the paint job fit the truck body.

proline body
parma and pactra paints
numbers and logos drawn in AutoCAD and traced onto body
liquid mask, hand-cut
about 15 hours in all

thanks. i'm trying to get a guy to cut me some vinyl decals that will match the Goodyear logo on NASCAR tires. if i can, i'm going to put them on the rims. that will help complete the effect.

it did. many, many hand cramps before all the trimming was completed. i just submitted all the pics in the contest. i've never entered before, so this is something new for me.

Forcing the paint scheme to fit the body is the best way to go and you did an outstanding job at it. Awesome work, it really looks great! This is what his TRUCK would look like if he raced monster trucks! :cool:

after the Bristol race next month, i'll be posting pics of this truck dragging around a tony stewart stuffed animal through the rocky parking lots. now that will be some serious eye candy! :D
