View Full Version : Acceleration Loss

I have a Losi XXX-NT with an OS CVR engine with about 12 tanks of fuel though it. Last night I noticed I was not getting the usual speed over a section of track. I’m trying to make a jump from a basically dead start, but now I don’t have enough speed to make it. Could the loss of acceleration be due to the clutch slipping?

It's more likely the engine needs to be re-tuned. Changes in weather require subtle adjustments of fuel mixture.

Don't you just love the XXX-NT! I got mine Monday and plan on racing Saturday. How does it handle on the track compared to the NXT or GT? SteveP is right on the weather being different causing the mixtures to be off. Usually if the weather warms up, the engine will need to be leaned out a little. Little. Because warmer air is less dense than cooler air the mixture gets richer the warmer the temp. gets.

If its pulling a wheelie its mine!

I can’t make any comparison since this is my first R/C vehicle, and I love it. I wish I started this hobby years ago.
