new motor runs backwards

yo i had a tl01 car for like 4 years and i have been racing my friend and i got a new motor and b4 i had a 19t and now i have a http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXJAJ5 i pluged it into the esc and hit the gas and my car went backwards. could any one help me?

but if i switch the plugs around then my engine wont get full power, i mean i raced this kid with stock mad bull truck and stock tt-01 engine and he won.
so any other ideas. i have the servo rev.sw on netrul and netrul

Make sure the endbell isn't turned 180's on the can. If it's timed backwards that is what will happen.

in pic 3 it dosent look like it, this motor is bran new

Sounds like you have the wires backwards on the motor. Switching them should solve your problem.

First, try reprogramming your speedo. If that doesn't work, switch the wires on the motor and reprogram your speedo. One of those should fix your problem.

The wires are hooked up correctly, and the timing appears to be correct. Switch the throttle reverse and see how it works(reprograming the esc may also fix it).

yeah make sure that you didnt hit a switch on your radio that would flip your throttle around, forward=reverse reverse=forward, etc. sorry for getting so technical

Just follow the directions provided with your ESC on how to set the radio up and then program the speed controller. That will fix it. :)

yo my esc is mad old and it dosent reset. should i bring it to my local hobby shop?

it might be time to get a new one, esc costs arent that bad. especially if you get a run of the mill, 12turn limit one, itll do the job at a decent price, and since yours doesnt function well, now might be the time.
