Im doing a new body, and its going to be for show. I dont want to wreck my body signed my all the losi and trinity guys ;) . Im looking into an Eclips (wanted to try a 2004 eclips, but cant find anything in 190mm) and will be adding my custom, full blown light package system in it. This means 4 Super bright White LEDz for the front, 4 Red LEDz for tail, and 8 Super Bright Blue LEDz for ground effects. Heres my question. i need light buckets, but i dont know ware to go. any idea from you fine Ladies and gentalmen would be much appreciated. Also, give me some input on the design of the paint. :)

I'm not too up to date on light buckets, but here's what I garnered from the boards:
Acidburn's idea: Cut the "cup shape" bottom of a coke plastic bottle and spray with chrome paint. Attach with shoe glue. Here's what it looks like:

Feredore's contribution: Buy light sets from www.rcneon.com or http://www.ramrcandramtrack.com/index.html,
Consensus during a quick search, try ebay. RCBoyz might have some stuff to help you out.
If you have a pic/outline/sketch of the body you're going to do, post it up to make things easier for people to suggest. Do it that way, and you're likely to be graced by NWB (if he's in the creative mood. :D)

My business partner and I have designed our own light kits for cars. We have only established a few prototypes, but everything works great so far. If you are interested we could create a custom kit for you. The light kits are too much fun at night!

Anyone else?
Did a speed test with a new mod motor.....a Trinity Cobalt. I sware the speed was amazing, and what made it better was the fact the lights, i can turn them off and on with my third channel using a small micro servo for the switch. Turning the lights on at full speed is fun. :D

This scares me. I should be seeing more feedback from you. With all your Creative minds that have done this stuff before? Well, too bad you cant fire slaves. :p

Wow, now I am worried.
Apart from the ways Piggy gathered, there's also the method of getting some modeling clay, forming the bucket you want, and then with the aid for some scrap lexan and either an oven or heat gun, slowly melt the lexan sheet over the clay thus making your bucket.
You could always fashion some out with a little Polystyrene and a little imagination. Or head to your local Dollar-esque store and purchase some mini flashlights, and just trim and glue the buckets together.

Hey streetracer,
In addition to the creative ideas mentioned, you can also try using large plastic disposable spoons. They come a dozen in a package for around two bucks. The idea is to cut out a concave section and trim it to fit the headlight bezel. I've also used replacement bulbs for the small Maglite flashlights as these are relatively tiny and bright.

Streetracer,
Here is what my Eclipse turned out like
I got the buckets, wipers, and mirrors from a guy on here RallySteve.
I am not sure if he still makes them but pm me and I will give you his contact info.
The pipe is from PRM and the mess is from a speaker grille.
