You're choices are really different a T4 team kit and a B4 rtr. I'd first decide on what you want to drive, truck or buggy? If you're going to start racing the T4 team kit might be the better car since you could choose electronic equipment to suite your needs and trucks are usually easier to drive and a more popular race class. They're both great trucks and the B4 could easily be taken to the track with a simple motor change (novice class, just don't use the reverse) and it's nearly identical to the team kit B4 with the exception of blue aluminum shocks and dog bones. If you're not into racing I'd still get the T4 because it's bigger tires will help it tackle rougher terrain and you could easily get street tires to run on road. Keep in mind that both trucks have kit and rtr versions. The rtr will be cheaper in the beginning since it comes with everything you need but if you’re just going to replace the stock electronics with better ones in the future (an esc that can handle more turns or a better computer radio) you should just save up the buy them now if money’s an issue because why buy the electronics with the rtr if you don’t really want them? Although if this is you’re first car I’d still consider the rtr because it’s more beginner friendly. Hope this helps you out.

If you are going to race it and it is your first RC, buy the kit and build it yourself so you will know how to work on it instead of a RTR that does not teach you that.

I would plan on the fact that you are going to end up spending alot more money on a kit than an RTR in the end.
Things like upgraded electronics, soldering iron, paint for the body, ect.ect, start to add up fast. I'm a noobie, but that is my opinion.
I just bought a T4 kit that I am in the process of building after trying to make the same decision. And I am spending quite a bit more than I anticipated.
But maybe it is just me, since I can't seem to resist buying every little whiz bang extra I can find.

You eventually need all that stuff anyway weather you buy a kit or RTR.

Hi Craps, Just so you know the weather is what is happening in the sky.
And if I buy an RTR thats already put together and with a painted body, why would I eventually need a soldering Iron, solder, flux, Deans connectors, Internal graphics, grease, body trimming scissors, 4 cans of spray paint, brushless motor and ESC, servo, radio with receiver, stand with parts tray to build with, ect. ect.

to fix it or upgrade it. when i first bought my first truck i bought it rtr and ive got maybe 200 in electronics, and have spent about 400 on replacement parts and things like a soldering iron solder connectors etc etc etc. you will eventually need or want that stuff anyways. in my opinion id get the kit. the stock electronics arent very good and you WILL want to upgrade even if u say u dont now.

its human nature to want more speed and performance from something that wont get your self killed.

ok seriously look at it like this... You will upgrade no matter what as a human you want more speed more handling and such. getting a rtr kinda slows the process to get to the best level you wanna be cause honestly save yourself the money spend that little extra to give yourself the little headstart to what your gonna want from this rc so go for the kit honestly you will like it.......:D just my opinion
EDIT: sooner or later your gonna want those faster upgrade which you could have started with in the first place :)

Yea get the kit. Sell your 1/1 scale vehicle, and then you can buy all kinds of cool upgrades.

Not every body is this way, some folks can and actually do excersize some restraint within this hobby.
Enjoy building that T4 MIK, it'll be worth it in the end.

if you are somewhat new to rc or even if you are seasoned i would recomend the t4 it is a better basher and a more fun racer. My buddy has one and races with my xxx4 g+,its some pretty close racing.
