im an ametuer be patient with me i just started nearly a month ago
i was out racing about two weeks ago and i went to refuel and there was fuel all over my truck (my user name) i notice a hole small hole in my fuel tank its small but i cant fill my tank over half full or fuel splashes out what caused thi and what can i do will the tip in feb 01 issue of rc car action work with solder iron pkease help ireally need it

You could get a new tank (should) i dont think they are that much. If yuo get it thru mail order you can pathch yuor old tank using that tip, and then have a spare tank. If you just got it you might want to send it back to duratrax. they have a thing for plastic parts that if they break the fix it for free.. fuel tanks are plastic! Anyone else with thoughts?

i fixed my tank with a soldering iron about 6 months ago and its held great ever since. when you do it just be careful not to distort the plastic too much. it will melt together alot quicker than you think
dont melt it back with a soldering iron. its prolly the worst thing someone new with a nitro can do. Have you ever handled a soldering iron before? Try sealing it with some sort of glue (forgot name) or even some sort of sealent. Never try risking it with a soldering iron, besides, a soldering is meant to melt metal solder, not plastic...
take it to your LHS and ask them what to do eith it.

i used my solder iron on it and its holding up so far i think it will work thanks for the help
