Part Designing Program

Hey guys. I really want to know some of the programs that people use to design parts or cars or just whatever in 3D. I know there is SolidWorks and AutoDesk, but does anyone know of any other programs. I would really like to try them out.

I tried the one that you recomended fz1, but it wouldn't work correctly. Would you or anyone happen to know of any others that I could try out?

Rhino is a very good NURBs based program. For something a little more advanced, I recommend either Inventor or Solidworks with the Cosmos package.
